Request for reservation of an airspace structure must be submitted using an pre-defined form which contains mandatory fields for entering or selecting the data. The form is activated by selecting the structure on the graphic display or by selecting a designed place.
Only predefined structures.
In the case of a permanent airspace structure that has been published in the Aeronautical Information Publication of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AIP BiH), a request for reservation of an airspace structure shall be submitted by approved agency (AA) and / or airspace users to AMC no later than seven (7) days before the planned use of airspace structure on the NOTAM.FORM.001 release request. Airspace users who were approved the reservation of an airspace are obliged to inform AMC of any change to planned airspace use on the day before the activity (D-1), no later than 1100 hours local time.
In the case of a temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure, request regarding establishment of an airspace structure shall be submitted to approved agency (AA) and / on a form „ Request for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc)airspace structure ASM.FORM.003 no later than twenty (20) days prior start of activities. The user is obligated to obtain the approval if the temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure is established for activities for which the BHDCA approval is required in accordance with the Rulebook on flight approval ("Official Gazette of BiH" no. 53/18) and the Ordinance on air show ("Official Gazette BiH "No .: 14/16).
Airspace user shall submit an official request to Bosnia and Herzegovina Air Navigation Services Agency (BHANSA)
The procedure and forms are published here. Children's balloons are colored balloons made of latex or foil, inflated with helium gas that are commonly used as a toy or decoration. Usually they are 25 -30 cm high and they must not be tighed together or contain hard parts. Releases of children's balloons are forbidden during the aerodrome operational hours at a distance less than 5 km from the aerodrome reference point. Release of up to 100 children's balloons at the same time is not considered as group and mass release.
Glowing balloon-like objects are small hot air balloons that are typically used in various celebrations or commemorations. They are made of paper with an opening at the bottom where a small fire is suspended. Usually they are around 100 cm high and with a diameter of approximately 60 cm. Sky lanterns must not be tighed together. Release of sky lanterns can be only held with an approval by competent bodies if iti is applicable. Releases of sky lanterns are forbidden during the aerodrome operational hours at a distance less than 5 km from the aerodrome reference point. Release of up to 20 sky lanterns at the same time is not considered as group and mass release.
It is recommended for the organiser of release of both children's balloons and sky lanterns to contact also the local community(city or municipality), the local police station, the operator of controlled or uncontrolled aerodrome/helidrome, and other competent bodies for obtaining other approvals if applicable.
Approval for establishment of ad hoc structure must be obtained in order to perform group and mass releases of children's balloons and sky lanterns in controlled airspace. Request shall be submitted on form „request for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure- ASM.FORM.003 at least twenty (20) days prior start of activities to approved agency for civil airspace users at the following address:

AMC responds in writing on the request for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structures, on the form "Approval for establishment of temporary (Ad-hoc) Airspace Structures - ASM.FORM.005" signed by the AMC Manager or the other competent person. AMC Approval for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structures contains the terms and conditions for the establishment, reservation, activation, suspension and deactivation of temporary airspace (ad-hoc) structures that the user has to comply with. AMC, as the airline information originator, for the purposes of informing all users of airspace, submits to NOTAM International Office a request for the publication of NOTAM on the form NOF.FORM.001 at the latest seven (7) days prior start of activities. The NOTAM International Office publishes NOTAM in accordance with the provisions of the Rulebook on the BIH NOTAM Office (NOF) (Official Gazette of BiH, No. 9/18).
Prior to the release of balloons / lanterns, for which approval to establish ad hoc structure has been issued, it is also necessary to obtain a tactical approval by phone from the competent ATC unit.
Approval for establishment of ad hoc structure will contain telephone number of the air traffic control unit activity has to be coordinated. In case the planned activity is cancelled, the user is required to send the cancellation notice to AMC or to the NOTAM office on the day before the activity (D-1) no later than 1100 hours local time.
In accordance with the Order on the Rules of the Air (Official Gazette of BIH 52/13),releasing of balloon can be performed during daylight in VMC conditions outside the controlled airspace with the approval of BHDCA. In the event of an air show, the request shall be submitted to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation at least 4 weeks before the event in accordance with the Ordinance on air shows("Official Gazette of BIH" number: 14/16). For the same event, the request for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure shall also be submitted to approved agency (AA) on the form "Request for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure - ASM.FORM.003", at least twenty (20) days prior start of activities.
To obtain the approval for performing ,Head of air shows shall submit a request to BHDCA at least four weeks prior start of activities as defined in Ordinance on air shows("Official Gazette of BIH" number: 14/16).
The controlled airspace within the boundaries of the Sarajevo FIR is airspace above 9500FT ASML and airspace within the boundaries of controlled zones (CTR). The boundaries of the controlled zones are published in Aeronautical Information Publication of Bosnia and Herzegovina (AIP BiH) part ENT 2.1 . In addition to performing aerial work , a request for the establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure, shall be sent to approved agency (AA) on the form "Request for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure - ASM.FORM.003" , at least twenty (20) days prior start of activities.
In case of organization of performing of parachute jumps, one should additionally obtain the approval of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation. Performing of parachute jumps is defined by Ordinance on air show ("Official Gazette of BIH" number: 14/16), article 11. Performing of parachute jumps is defined by Order on the Rules of the AIr ("Official Gazette of BIH" number: 52/13), Article 20.
In addition to performing parachute jumps , a request for the establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure, shall be sent to approved agency (AA) on the form "Request for establishment of temporary (ad-hoc) airspace structure - ASM.FORM.003" , at least twenty (20) days prior start of activities.
